To reduce burden and fill up vacant seats after the first cutoff, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has proposed to enrol students through lottery for the new four-year undergraduate programme (FYUP). Delhi University is yet to approve this recommendation. The college has 252 seats in BCom (H), but admits around 300 pupils every year owing to college’s admission policy and dropout rate. With FYUP, the number of students studying BCom(H) in the college at a time (three-year degree) will go up from 900 to 1200.
